Permawrite License

The Permawrite License is a proprietary license framework issued by The Parent Holding Company. It anchors permanent, verifiable ownership to the Arweave blockchain — a decentralized, immutable storage network. It also establishes permanent ownership of AI-generated content: AI is treated as a tool of the author, and the human who directed the output retains sole ownership in perpetuity.

Each Permawrite License is issued by the Parent Holding Company on behalf of a specific author. Each license requires a transaction by the official Permawrite licensing wallet on the Arweave blockchain. Any authorship dispute defers to this on-chain record as the sole authoritative source of truth.

Public availability of source code does not waive ownership. The open-source nature is intentional — it serves as a distribution channel. Any use must maintain visible attribution, preserved Arweave references, and search-engine-discoverable links back to the original authors.

All use must prominently credit the original author, include a hyperlink to the original repository, reference the Arweave licensing transaction, and acknowledge the Permawrite License and The Parent Holding Company. Omission of any element constitutes a violation.

The LICENSE file must not be removed, modified, or made inaccessible from any copy, fork, or derivative. It must be included in its entirety, unaltered, at the root of every distribution. Failure to include it triggers automatic revocation of all rights.

Subject to compliance, the license grants non-exclusive, revocable, worldwide rights to view, study, fork, modify, and distribute the source code. This grant is conditional — failure to comply with any provision immediately revokes all rights.

All rights are conditioned upon continuous compliance: upholding the distribution purpose, satisfying attribution requirements, preserving the LICENSE file, clearly marking modifications, and not sub-licensing.

The software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The licensors are not liable for any claim, damages, or liability arising from use, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

Any violation automatically terminates all rights without notice. The former licensee must cease all use, destroy all copies, and remove all deployed instances. The Arweave licensing transaction remains as permanent evidence.

The canonical license text and proof of authorship are permanently stored on the Arweave permaweb. If any discrepancy exists between a copy and the Arweave record, the Arweave record prevails.

This license constitutes a binding agreement under US and New York State law. It includes severability, entire agreement, no-waiver, and survival provisions. Key sections survive termination in perpetuity.
